KRIS Commons praised "free-flowing" Derby County as they beat Preston North End 5-3 in a thrilling encounter at Pride Park last night.

Commons played his part in an impressive attacking display from the Rams, putting Nigel Clough's men 2-1 up after a Billy Jones own goal had cancelled out Jon Parkin's early opener for the visitors.

After Chris Sedgwick made paper bag printing it 2-2, Rob Hulse netted twice for Derby, either Omega Replica Watches side of a Shaun Barker goal, before Preston substitute Chris Brown grabbed a late consolation.

"It was certainly an entertaining match for the neutral," said Commons. "It was important we bounced back from the defeat on Saturday and we did that with a bang.

"I didn't think we deserved to be 1-0 behind early on but it was certainly a wake-up call for us to rally and push on - and we certainly did that. We played with a lot of confidence.

"Once we got the first goal, we just kept pushing and pushing. That was the mentality of our play and Preston were there for the taking.
